London Headshot Studio

Mad Photography’s headshot studio is in Cuffley, Hertfordshire (EN6) — a direct 43-minute train from London Moorgate — and we also shoot on location in London. You get a relaxed, unhurried session with photographer Mark Davis, who has photographed London actors’ headshots since 1997 and is recommended by Spotlight and Castingcall Pro.

Where the studio is

The studio is in Cuffley, Hertfordshire, just north of London inside the M25. It’s a calm, private space away from the rush of the city — which is exactly why so many actors and young performers relax in front of the camera here and come away with natural, character-true headshots. The full studio address is confirmed when you book.

Getting here by train

Cuffley has its own railway station with direct Great Northern trains to and from London Moorgate — around 43 minutes, running roughly every 30 minutes throughout the day, with no change required. The station is a short distance from the studio, so a London-based actor can be at the shoot in under an hour, door to door.

Getting here by car

By road the studio is an easy drive from north London and the wider Home Counties, sitting just inside the M25 and close to the A10. If you’re driving in for your session, let us know when you book and we’ll point you to the best route and parking.

Prefer to shoot in London? We come to you

Every session includes a studio and location element, and for clients who’d rather stay in town we also photograph on location in London — bringing the headshot session to a setting that works for you. Whether you come to the Hertfordshire studio or we shoot in the city, you get the same careful, casting-ready results.

What to expect from your session

Adult sessions run for around two hours and include both studio and location portraits, a digital viewing session, same-day contact sheets of 200–250 shots in colour and black & white emailed to you, and your favourite images professionally retouched in high resolution. Children’s sessions take about an hour. Mark guides you on expression and angles throughout, so you never feel on your own in front of the lens.
